CII to project India
for global showbiz

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will be hosting
a conference on promotion, growth and development of India's
showbiz sector, on the eve of 38th International Film Festival
of India (IFFI) here.
The two-day seminar, starting on November 22, titled "India-The
Big Picture" intends to project India as a global platform
for entertainment business and provide business networking
forums to the delegates, CII official stated.
The seminar is co-hosted by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting,
Directorate of Film Festival and Film and Television Producers
Guild of India (FTPGI), officials said.
The organisers have invited Minister of Information &
Broadcasting, P R Dasmunsi and Secretary, Asha Swarup to address
the conference.
The conference expects over 250 delegates, who will represent
countries including USA, UK, Singapore, Middle-East, France
and Canada.
It will have film producers, exhibitors, distributors, post-production
companies, content providers, technicians suppliers, manufacturers
and solution providers apart from film funding bodies, specialist
film financers, venture capitalists, consultants, analysts,
lawyers, advertisement and public relation agencies, marketing
and communication strategies, sales as well as acquisition
agents participating in it, CII stated.
The discussions during the conference will revolve around
innovations in entertainment, digital revolution, new technologies
and emergence of multi platform distribution system, new markets
for Indian entertainment business, financing issues, business
opportunities in the entertainment sector and others, officials
stated.
