The political drama is
now shifting to the national capital tomorrow as the first round of series of
talks held with the rebel MLAs did not accrue results.
NCP leader Prafull
Patel told media persons late tonight that the group of nine legislators has agreed
to resolve the issues within the alliance, rather than toppling the government.
According
to him, the main grievances are related to functioning of the government and not
doing several works of their constituencies.
Though he denied that there
are demands to drop any ministers or portfolios, NCP MLA Micky Pacheco and Babush
Monseratte asserted that they had demanded that finance minister Dayanand Narvekar
and PWD minister Churchill Alemao be dropped from the cabinet.
Besides the
Congress and NCP emissaries, chief minister Digambar Kamat as well as the group
of rebel MLAs will proceed for Delhi tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, chief
minister Kamat held a meeting of the Congress legislature party later at night,
to inform them about the talks and ascertain their views.
