Sanjay Bandekar, the Bharatiya Janata Party minister in Goa,
is performing a 'mahayagna' tomorrow (Thursday) in his home
constituency here, to give strength to the World to crush
terrorism.
"It is also meant for peace to all the victims who lost their
lives in the terrorist attacks in the USA as well as those
who became martyrs in the recently fought Kargil war with
Pakistan", said Bandekar.
The BJP minister will perform the 'mahayagna' in coastal
Agonda village, on the beach, along with the local youth belonging
to the Agonda Sports Club as well as other constituents.
Beginning at 11 am tomorrow, all those participating in the
'mahayagna' will shave bald (mundan). He has invited five
Hindu priests from Gokarna in the neighbouring Karnataka state,
specialised in performing the ritual.
Being the information minister, he has also involved the
state machinery like his department to publicise the ceremony.
"My only wish is that the USA and other nations should gain
enough strength to crush terrorism all over the World", says
Bandekar.
