Goa's main opposition Bharatiya
Janata Party today announced that the party will intensify its agitation against
state Governor S C Jamir seeking his recall by the Centre.
"We will
expose him at every step and inform people about his unconstitutional behaviour,"
leader of opposition Manohar Parrikar told reporters here.
The BJP is upset
with Jamir, alleging his role during the political crisis in the state as 'dubious.'
The party has also raked up the issue of his expenses.
The party leaders,
while boycotting his address in the state assembly recently, had alleged that
Governor is indulging in Nagaland politics at the cost of the state exchequer.
"BJP
will hold public meetings at almost every panchayat in Goa where party central
leaders will be participating," Parrikar said.
He said that the people
of the state would be informed as to how Jamir is acting in an 'undemocratic manner'.
"We will also educate people of his expenses. He is the most expensive Governor,"
Parrikar said added.
BJP has decided to hold extensive programme throughout
the state between February one to February 17.
"Also, the issue will
be raised in Parliament," the former chief minister added.
