ordinary: Shahurkh

"It's not special to be special; it's special to be
ordinary."
With these words, Shahrukh Khan dedicated the 38th International
Film Festival of India to the ordinary person on the earth,
after inaugurating it in Panaji by lighting a traditional
lamp.
Earlier in his speech, union minister for information and
broadcasting Priyaranjan Dasmunshi had described Shahrukh
as the icon made by the ordinary people, especially the have-nots.
Shahrukh, the king of the film industry, sounded embarrassed
in front of the film legendaries of India as well as abroad.
Calling himself a commercial actor, he went to the extent
of stating that he would be honoured if any director offered
him a role.
"You are the real talented artists of the cinema",
he said, while paying respect to the cine artists, who had
gathered from all over the world, especially from Asia, Africa
and Latin America.
Dasmunshi in his speech surprisingly hesitated to announce
that Goa would be the permanent centre for IFFI.
Referring to the ongoing demand from a section to shift IFFI
out of Goa, Dasmunshi said Goa would continue to grow as the
centre for IFFI, while suggesting the state government to
build necessary infrastructure for the festival.
Chief minister Digambar Kamat earlier in his speech had mentioned
that Goa would be the permanent centre for IFFI.
Tamil actress Priymani, Director of Film Festivals Neelam
Kapoor and other dignitaries were also present on the dais.
