Now, war over corporations...

Following cabinet ranks and portfolios, chief minister Digambar
Kamat is now grilled by his party colleagues over corporation
chairmanships.
Shyam Satardekar, the newly elected Curchorem MLA, has refused
to take over as the chairman of South Planning and Development
Authority.
"I want some corporation, preferably the Housing Board.
What is there in that PDA", he asks.
He even countered chief minister's claim that the issue had
been resolved and he had agreed to take up the PDA responsibility.
Meanwhile, Gurudas Gawas, another newly elected Pale MLA,
however has taken over as the chairman of Horticulture Corporation.
Nilkanth Halarnkar, another newly elected NCP legislator
from Tivim, also took oath as the parliamentary secretary.
The passion for red-lamp-on-a-car has compelled Kamat to
make three parliamentary secretaries with cabinet ranks -
Halarnkar as well as Agnel Fernandes (Calangute) and Francis
Silveira (St Andre) - both from the Congress.
Dr Wilfred de Souza, defeated NCP candidate from Saligao,
has also been given a red lamp car, making him the deputy
chairman of the Planning Board.
Rest of the corporations are yet to be distributed.
