While Congress is yet to decide its legislative leader for
the chief minister's post, the Nationalist Congress party
yesterday replaced Micky Pacheco, with Vasco MLA-elect Jose
Philip D'Souza as the new leader.
Pacheco was elected the leader two days ago. He was tipped
to be the deputy chief minister.
NCP national secretary Gurunath Kulkarni yesterday told journalists
that Micky was replaced as the party's national leadership
did not agree with him name.
Though furious, Micky later on told the media that the decision
of the party high command is acceptable to him.
Sources within the NCP disclosed that Dr Wilfred de Souza
has managed to get rid of Micky, his arch rival within the
party.
