BJP welcomes Guv decision to dismiss Ticlo petition

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has welcomed Governor’s decision to dismiss the disqualification petition filed against their party MLA from Aldona, Glen Ticlo.

Governor Bharat Vir Wanchoo has dismissed the disqualification petition on technical grounds.

The governor has stated that he has no jurisdiction to decide about the case under Article 192 (1) of the Constitution of India.

Congress spokesperson Sudip Tamankar and Amarnath Panjikar, in January, had filed a petition before the governor, seeking Ticlo’s disqualification.

Tamankar had produced documents which stated that Ticlo registered his birth once again in Portugal and he was granted Portuguese citizenship on 27 November 2009.

Following this, Ticlo had contested Assembly election in 2012, on the grounds that he is an Indian citizen.

While welcoming governor’s decision, BJP spokesperson Dr Wilfred Mesquita agreed that the petition has been dismissed on technical grounds and not on merits.

However, he once again reiterated that no case exists against Ticlo.

Dr Mesquita claimed that “as of today, Ticlo’s birth is not registered in Portugal.”

However, when asked whether Ticlo was granted Portuguese passport on the grounds that his birth was registered in “Portuguese Goa”, Dr Mesquita claimed that Ticlo also does not hold Portuguese passport.

Amidst the claims and counter-claims, the facts behind the case are still not known as the case is not even being heard on the basis of documents produced by Tamankar.

But it is a fact that there is a temporary respite for Ticlo till somebody else files yet another petition in yet another forum on the same grounds.

There is also another case filed against Benaulim MLA Caitu Silva of the Goa Vikas Party before the Bombay high court at Goa.

Churchill Alemao’s daughter Valanka, Caitu’s defeated opponent in Benaulim election last year, has filed the case on the grounds that his birth has been registered in Portugal.

Instead of approaching the Governor, Valanka has chosen to approach the high court as she has prayed for declaring her as the MLA of Benaulim, after disqualifying Caitu.

The case is still being heard.

In the case of Valanka Alemao vs Caitu D`silva, Valanka was over confident she would win, the Benaulim seat at the Elections.

Her confidence was based on the laurels of her very corrupt father Churchill Alemao, winning at the elections, previously.

There is a false sense of confidence & conceitedness amongst the Alemaos.

They all believe no one other than them, can win elections.

The are easily flattered & egged on buy ill educated Goondas.

They believe nothing can touch them.

Sadly the Grapes turned sour for Valanka and in her vindictiveness , decided to file a case against Caitu D`silva.

Valanka Alemao was surely aware or suspicious, that Caitu D`silva "may" have got his Birth registered in Portugal.

She has her insiders within the Portuguese Consulate that feed her information....and all for a bag of Tiger Prawns.

Why did Valanka not file a Case before the elections...but chose to do it after the elections and after losing very badly.?

Well there is a quote that " HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE A WOMAN SCORNED".

valanka was not only SCORNED,...BUT THOROUGHLY SCORCHED & WIPED OUT along with other family members.

In my personal opinion, the Alemaos are the most despicable family in Goa.

They have stooped below the levels of human diginity.

I now hope & pray, that Sandra Mascarenhas, a Goan BRAVEHEART & a neighbour will, take them to task over destroying her access to a public road.

Alll Goans , the world over & all over Goa too...bar a few in Benaulim would like to see the Alemao`s Jailed.

They have built their power base from the proceeds of loot and other criminal enterprises.
